The village is located 21 km. northwest of Nessebar, by the river Hadjiyska and 34 km. from the town of Pomorie. The climate is temperate continental with an altitude of 160 m. The village is well developed agriculture, animal husbandry, fruit growing. In the village of Galabets there is a working dairy and a cannery.
In the village of Galabets is a protected area “Koriyata”. Its area is about 116 acres and is a centuries-old forest of ash, summer oak and elm – the only preserved to this day century-old oak forest in this area. The wetland area is located on the Via Pontica migration route and is one of the most important intermediate stations during bird migration.
