Location
Founded by four brothers who moved from the village of Huhla, Ivaylovgrad region. The name was changed from “Baldzhikkoy” – honey (Turkish) and came from a rich Turk with many beehives.
It is believed that in the immediate vicinity of the village was the battle of the river Aheloy, won by Tsar Simeon.
The village is located on a hilly slope facing north. Once you climb the peaks above the village, there is a beautiful view of Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Ravda, Aheloy, and Pomorie. This location is especially favorable for the development of paragliding and hang gliding.
In Medovo there is a restaurant with an entertaining folklore program and authentic Bulgarian cuisine, and the wine cellars built in the area allow the organization of the so-called wine tours.
The village of Medovo has exceptional mineral water.
For several years, regular village gatherings and celebrations such as Christmas, Lazarus and others have been resumed.
