Location
Gaberovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Pomorie Municipality, Bourgas District. Until 1931 the name of the village was Gürgen koi, and in 1966 it was changed to Gaberovo.
The village of Gaberovo is located in the Eastern Stara Planina, in its last branches. The population of the village lives in the likeness of a valley, and the land consists of meadows and hilly areas. The climate is temperate-continental, and contrasts sharply with that of nearby seaside villages. Rabbits, field mice, jackals, foxes and many species of birds can be found around the village of Gaberovo.
Guests of the village of Gaberovo have the opportunity to visit the local dairy and buy a wide range of cheeses and cheeses.
In the village of Gaberovo is the newest and largest mosque in the Municipality of Pomorie. It was opened on October 5, 2019, it has a capacity of 350 people.
Near the village of Gaberovo is an ancient and late antique fortress “Kaleto” and is about 1.5 – 1.8 km north in a straight line from the center of the village which is abandoned and has no access to it. The site is heavily compromised by treasury excavations, in which household and construction ceramics and walls are found.
